Out for Breakfast

Elbee and I walked to Peet's for breakfast today (I was out of milk). I forgot to take a picture of the cranberry walnut scone I had with my small coffee, but I did catch some pictures of the crumbs. Elbee and I are studying first wave legal feminism--the right to vote! We like voting!

Although the scone and the suffrage were both quite good, I wish I had some farm fresh eggs...

Farm fresh eggs!

Tastes better than it looks. Whole wheat tortilla, black beans, cheddar cheese, two eggs over easy, guac. Mmm.

Three breakfast day

Breakfast 1: toast with cottage cheese and honey
Breakfast 2: DIY power bar: Peanut butter, prunes, raisins, cranberries, honey and whole wheat flour all put through the food processor and packed into a little bag on the back of my bike
Breakfast 3: muffin from Peets.

Too exciting for pictures

Woke up cold but excited for the farmer's market! The rain and kitties did not stop me. Pulled on clothes and a rain jacket and went outside. Saw a bunch of other people in similar outfits eyeing produce. Purchased said produce and a blueberry roll. Back inside I heated it up and poured a mug of milk. Blueberry roll = cinnamon roll type creation - cinnamon + blueberries. Yum.

See previous post

I am so boring. I mixed the same two cereals with blueberries. Instead of taking a new picture, I am just not posting one. So there.

Time for Pancakes!

Breakfast one of two

Yet two remains unpictured.

This might get boring

I almost choked on some cereal, but it still tasted good.

On The Go

Baggie with hard boiled egg and walnuts and dried cranberries. Eh. You win some you lose some. Cup is full of tea. Coffee was had at home. With icecream, since I'm out of milk.

Blueberries are good

Cereal combo + local blueberries = good. Blueberries match my bowls too, double cool.

Breakfast has sort of been going downhill the past few days. It doesn't help that my kitchen looks like this:

I didn't have time to fix anything this morning, so wound up buying a container of cottage cheese at school. Lame breakfast. BUT I came home and made really awesome egg salad with celery, green onions, uncooked corn on the cob, mayo, black pepper, and smoked salt. I know, I know, it's not technically breakfast, but it's so tasty I had to share.

Cereal explosion

Somehow milk never manages to get in the picture. Perhaps it is camera shy. Probably it is just that as soon as milk meets cereal I gobble it up.

Tastes better than it looks

Toast, peanut butter, honey.

Brunch in Noho

Brunch at Haymarket with Noho friends. No camera :( Breakfast sandwich = toasted sourdough + scrambled cheesey eggs + veggie sausage. Also potatoes and water. My love affair with veggie sausage will continue.

It's like Eating A Piece of Fruit

Chocolate cake=prunes, bananas, eggs, flour, coco powder, cinnamon, baking soda and baking powder. Sometimes it also include chocolate chips, banana chips, walnuts, and dried cranberries. Yummy.

Last day in CA

Going away breakfast made by my sister and her boyfriend...

Scrambled eggs with avocado, red onion, tomatoes and sharp cheddar cheese with a whole wheat bagel with cream cheese. And some OJ mixed with seltzer.

Double the Breakfast, Double the Fun

An advantage to waking up early to bike is that I'm hungry enough for two breakfasts. First: Toast with peanut butter, honey and banana--fuel for the hill, yo. Second, toast with mayo, fried egg, sauteed spinach, and mushrooms. And coffee. Of course.
Family vacation day 3.

Cinnamon bread with cream cheese, OJ, and fruit salad (well, just the blueberries and mango)

Back indoors

Kashi, milk, nectarine. The coffee was camera shy.
Family vacation day 2.

Pancakes with homemade blueberry syrup (blueberries, sugar, cranberry juice and lime boiled), and some OJ, yum

Trail Breakfast Day 3

Fuel for the last day: Oatmeal, dried cranberries, walnuts, and brown sugar. Yum.

The camera was hiding

Family vacation fun time... day 1.

Cinnamon bread with cream cheese, OJ and a cookie. Well maybe several cookies.

Trail Breakfast Day 2

Day 2's breakfast: pancakes turned herb biscuits and scrambled eggs. Eggs were partially scrambled prior to cooking as we dropped them the night before trying to hang them from a tree. We decided they were safe anyway and cooked them up with onion and bell pepper.

Trail Breakfast Day 1

I've backdated this post, as I didn't think that the Emigrant Wilderness would have reliable wireless access. This is the first of three tasty breakfasts born from the camp stove and eaten with dirty dirty hands. Ashley rocked out the fry-bake pan and made these fantastic cheesycornbreadpancakebiscuit things, and I tried my skill at frying eggs.

Also there was tea.
