Is the milk still fresh?

I sure hope so, because I just ate some cereal.

Oh and I'm sure a bite or two of snickerdoodle made it in my mouth as well.

Its snowing!

Everyone has a snow day but me :(

So I had scrambled eggs, homemade whole wheat bread toast and juice. Max put her paw on my plate so I probably ate some cat fur too. But what is a morning without cat fur?

Dessert then hot chocolate?

White chocolate blondie with chocolate chips, followed by hot chocolate and 4000 or so people and 30 degree temps.

Yoga for breakfast

This morning I had coffee and an apple, followed by an hour of yoga in Berkeley, followed by a wheat grass shot (my first, surprisingly), followed by scrambled eggs, peppers and cheese cooked by my neighbor along with toast from my second batch of bread.

Another loaf is in the oven. 100% whole wheat.

I love food.

Thursday, December 3, 2009

Confused

Breakfast is carrot ginger orange soup. I will likely have eggs for dinner.

Wednesday, December 2, 2009

Home Made

Breakfast today was a chunk of yeast bread I made yesterday--whole wheat flour and bread flour, and molasses instead of honey.

Leftover cream cheese frosting...

Means cinnamon buns, right? We made them last night and they did the 2nd rise over night in the fridge. In the oven this morning and now in my tummy. Amazing.

Shame

I am going grocery shopping tomorrow. Hopefully with my almost three year old little cousin once removed, who has given me new faith in pre-schoolers. Even though he cried a lot, he's really really cute and sweet and cuddly. So we're going grocery shopping tomorrow, hopefully. What's the have to do with breakfast? And with shame? You don't want to know what I've been eating for breakfast. It's not good.

But, tomorrow G and I are having eggs, spinach, avocado and cheese. I'm stoked.

Spinach + Eggs

Today? Today I had raisins for breakfast. Raisins. I was so hungry for lunch.

I don't remember Thursday or Friday. It's been one of those...lives. :)

Too early

Up early to collect data... not yet hungry or even hungary... luna bar

Wednesday, September 23, 2009

Dreaming ahead...

Today's breakfast was more of the same: cottage cheese, toast, and honey. I ate outside watching the animals make friends with people.

I went grocery shopping today, and if I have time to do what I'm thinking about, I'm really excited about breakfast tomorrow.

Slurp

Quickly consumed cereal. And a bite of brownie.

Tuesday, September 22, 2009

An old favorite

Toast, cottage cheese and honey. Small curd cottage cheese is pretty tasty. Different, but tasty. Good story, huh?

Mmmm oatmeal

Oatmeal, brown sugar, cinnamon and a burnt tounge

Monday, September 21, 2009

I can't remember

What I had for breakfast this morning. I have a picture of it on my camera...If I had to take a guess, I'd have to say it had something to do with quinoa...I'll check and let you know tomorrow.

Not enough

A luna bar plus observing Kindergarten is just not enough. Maybe the small children were just cute enough to eat and that is why I got hungry?

Chocolate for breakfast?

Yup...in the form of chocolate chip banana bread.

Sunday, September 13, 2009

Yesterday I bought enough vegetables to feed a family of six. I cooked some spinach and mushrooms up with an egg. Of course, there was coffee.
Spinach and mushroom on toast with mayo. Yummers.

Tiny blueberries

Look how tiny they are!

This morning I had butterscotch pudding, with raisins, for breakfast. Yum. (and coffee)

Apple roll?

Farmer's market treat heated up with a glass of milk.

Friday, September 11, 2009

Coffee, then more coffee and marble bread as I walked around the lake. Didn't have my camera, but Cheka did, so I may be able to post a picture at some point.

Breakfast 1: Banana bread and a mug full of milk
Breakfast 2: Apple cider donut and some water

A Day Of Healthy Eating

First breakfast: String cheese.

Second breakfast: Coffee cake
First Lunch: Root beer float
Second lunch: shortbread
Dinner: Wow...Can't wait...

School has started

I dig this flavor. Or flavour as the British would say.

Tuesday, September 8, 2009

Monday, September 7, 2009

I don't even want to think about what I had for breakfast

Can I just pretend it was just coffee?

Oops

I completely forgot to take a picture. Breakfast was 2 eggs over easy, a piece of toast and some baby potatoes that we got at the farmer's market. Ran out of spinach :(

Sunday, September 6, 2009

Not Just for Old Folks

First breakfast: Hand full of prunes.
Second breakfast: butter croissant and coffee from the Mixing Bowl on Telegraph. They were sampling jam and honey, so my croissant got some decoration. I really wish I had had my camera with me. It was a delight!

New honey

Toast, cottage cheese, honey and strawberries. Such good texture and sweet flavors.

Saturday, September 5, 2009

Ouch

First breakfast was probably several glasses of water. Then maybe some raisins and almonds. Then more water. Then more sleep. At about 9:30 I put on sunglasses and dragged Josh to the farmer's market. We got some heirloom tomatoes that deserve their own blog and more eggs! Second breakfast was toast, fried eggs, cheddar cheese, spinach, a veggie sausage and big slices of a green heirloom tomato. Mmmmm. It was messy.

Out of Milk=Out for Breakfast (Again)

Apparently I use a lot of milk. When I run out of milk, I don't have coffee. If I don't have coffee, it is not the morning. I ran out of milk, so Elbee and I dined on Piedmont Avenue again. This time at Cafe Triste, a new place with outdoor seating in the back. I had an egg and cheese sandwich on an English muffin. Elbee had water and some turkey supplied by one of the people working there. Elbee is learning about McDonnell Douglas/Burdine burden shifting.

Friday, September 4, 2009

My aunt came over for breakfast this morning, and you want to know what I had??
QUINOA!!!!!
We at too quick to catch the milk, maple syrup, and peaches. Yeah. You heard me.

Copycat

They say copying is the sincerest form of flattery, right? Toast, cottage cheese, honey. And strawberries and juice. YUM. I need more honey.

Thursday, September 3, 2009

Same Thing

Once I find the cord for the camera I'll post a picture of the pita, peanut butter and jam. Third day with it.

I'm out of peanut butter.

Zoooooom

Honey nut o's with no time for fruit :(

Wednesday, September 2, 2009

Neighbors Feed Me Breakfast

For the past two days I've had home made pita that I've put in the toaster and spread with peanut butter and my mom's home made plum jam. Super tasty, but I still wish I was eating Suzy's eggs...

Eggtastic

Some mornings start earlier than others, especially when you wake up at 3am to a cat vomiting in bed with you. Ahhh, mornings. Toast, sharp cheddar cheese, veggie sausage, spinach, and fried eggs. I forgot the salt, but clearly ate it up anyways.

Tuesday, September 1, 2009

Fruity/Chocolatey

Bite of brownie followed by fruity cereal. Local strawberries in September, who knew? They are small and sweeeet.

Monday, August 31, 2009

Out for Breakfast

Elbee and I walked to Peet's for breakfast today (I was out of milk). I forgot to take a picture of the cranberry walnut scone I had with my small coffee, but I did catch some pictures of the crumbs. Elbee and I are studying first wave legal feminism--the right to vote! We like voting!

Although the scone and the suffrage were both quite good, I wish I had some farm fresh eggs...

Farm fresh eggs!

Tastes better than it looks. Whole wheat tortilla, black beans, cheddar cheese, two eggs over easy, guac. Mmm.

Sunday, August 30, 2009

Three breakfast day

Breakfast 1: toast with cottage cheese and honey
Breakfast 2: DIY power bar: Peanut butter, prunes, raisins, cranberries, honey and whole wheat flour all put through the food processor and packed into a little bag on the back of my bike
Breakfast 3: muffin from Peets.

Saturday, August 29, 2009

Too exciting for pictures

Woke up cold but excited for the farmer's market! The rain and kitties did not stop me. Pulled on clothes and a rain jacket and went outside. Saw a bunch of other people in similar outfits eyeing produce. Purchased said produce and a blueberry roll. Back inside I heated it up and poured a mug of milk. Blueberry roll = cinnamon roll type creation - cinnamon + blueberries. Yum.

Milk and Graham Crackers
